Friends love helping friends. We have seen a seller’s network have a powerful effect on selling a home. That is why we want to equip you with a Step-by-Step Guide on how you can activate your network.
We encourage clients to share their listing by social media, text, or email. Sharing your listing gives your friends the ability to share with their networks, thus extending the reach of your listing.
How to Post Your Listing on Social Media
Watch this basic tutorial on how to utilize your Social Graphics we’ve provided to spread the word of your listing.
Your Social Graphics are made to post seamlessly on your Facebook and Instagram feed and story without any cropping or editing needed.
Tips: To download on your Iphone, when the link pops up after tapping the button, tap “Download” at the bottom of the page to download the zip folder. Then, tap “Open in..” and select Open in Downloads. Tap the Zip file, then open the folder. Now you have access to the images! You can post to your social media and share with your friends from there, or save them to your photo album for later.
Open your Facebook and tap the post box at the top of the News Feed. For Instagram, tap the + icon at the top of your screen which opens your photo gallery.
Tips: If your Instagram account is linked to your Facebook, you can post your listing on Instagram and automatically share it on Facebook as well. Here’s how to link your accounts if they aren’t already linked.
If you are a member of any community Facebook groups, share your listing there too.
On Facebook, open your gallery by tapping Photo/Video. On both platforms, select only one of your listing’s Social Graphics to upload, such as the “New Listing” Social Graphic. Then, tap Done.
Tips: Showcase more of your home by adding some of the professional interior photos taken. Tap multiple photos to upload them all at once.
Post the “Open House” Social Graphic the week of your open house.
This is your opportunity to promote your home in your own words: share your favorite features, location perks, etc. Let people know why they need to buy your home! Below are some caption templates to get you started.
Ready-to-go Post: Hello friends and family, I am selling my home with Scout Realty. This is a great home, but I’m ready to pass it on for someone else to enjoy. If you know of anyone looking for a home like this and/or in this area, please re-share this post. Thank you!
Personalized Post: Hello friends and family, I am selling my home with Scout Realty. I have decided to [put your reason for selling here i.e. moving, downsizing, or upsizing]. This is a great home, but I’m ready to pass it on for someone else to enjoy. My favorite part is the [describe your favorite home feature]. If you know of anyone looking for a [adjective to describe the home] home in [neighborhood name], please re-share this post. Thank you!
Tips: If your package includes a Personalized Webpage be sure to link your listing’s page in your caption.
Use Hashtags. Hashtags help potential buyers find your listing. You can also add some hashtags for the area your home is in like, #eastnashville. You can copy and paste this: #newlistingnashville #nashvillelistings #nashvillerealtor #newhomenashville #nashvilletn #scoutrealty #homeownership #homeowners #tennesseerealestate
Tap Share/Post in the top-right corner. You’ve now shared your Listing on your social media which will extend the reach of your listing!
